Half of the clockface has been torn away, three-four-five-six drawn upon the wall,
The pointers keep moving, for the mechanism’s fixed, suppose, as good they could.
Ticking spikes silence, though the former time yet has collapsed, stands no more at all,
Perhaps soon there will be no wall, and perhaps then will be no earth for good…
