Poems in English

You melted me through

You melted me through, as lava melts through stone —
All that I used to be — weak and awkward — has long since flown.

So from a beam, from a glance, from a diamond lens,
Fire flared up, a shining column — lambent, bright, immense.

I overflow with molten fire — all ice floes melt away.
Your glance bestows me wings. Higher, higher I soar today.
